NEW CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP FOR LAFAYETTE COUNTY
On Saturday April 6th Republican precinct and county conventions were held across Mississippi.
Lafayette County has 18 precincts and caucuses were held at each at 10 am at the normal voting site for
those precincts. Following the election of delegates from each precinct, the Republican County
Convention was held at the O.D. Smith Lodge at 3 pm. The elected precinct delegates (48) were then
called to convene and elect a new executive committee consisting of not less than 18 but up to 36
Executive Committee members as well as delegates for the state convention in Jackson on May 11th.
